Bed bugs are reddish-brown, oval-shaped insects about the size of an apple seed. They are known as the “hitchhikers” of the bug world, because they attach themselves to and follow humans all over the world. Most often, bed bugs are brought back to a home after someone visits an infested location unknowingly.
Bed bugs feed on human and animal blood, meaning they’ll even feed on your pets! Bed bugs cannot fly, but can move very quickly, making it seem like they can fly. While bed bugs are mostly nocturnal creatures, they will adjust their schedule to match their host so they can feed on their host while they are asleep. Since they are small and difficult to find, bed bug removal can be tricky.
